Title: Crazy Kind of Feeling
Song: ”Contagious” by Boys Like Girls
I’m flying down the fast lane
Doing ninety five, ninety things on my brain
Don’t know where the hell I’m going
But I’m going after you
I’m jumping on the last train
Got this crazy kind of feeling that I can’t explain
Don’t know where the hell I’m going
But I’m going after you
And I know you think I’m crazy
And I dress up like I’m four
I don’t do dinner and movies
But if I showed up at your door
Would you give me one more minute?
The story’s far from finished
We could fill in all the pages
I’m feeling sick, girl, you’re so contagious
Just wanna say I miss you
I caught it when I kissed you
And I’ve been through all the stages
I’m feeling sick, girl, you’re so contagious
It was raining on a Wednesday
Doing ninety five, ninety things left to say
Told myself to keep on driving
‘Cause I left my heart with you
I never thought that I could walk away
Every second I’m regretting that I didn’t stay
How could I just keep on driving
When I left my heart with you?
You think all my friends are crazy
And I know you hate my car
Well, I don’t drive a Mercedes
Would it be that hard?

Synopsis: Dave (Cooper) has never grown up and he’s just fine with that. He dresses like an adult, puts on a show at his minimal effort job at his father’s company, but in his free time, he’s more than happy to spend his free time acting like a hormone crazed teenager. That’s why keeping his relationship with Aubrey (Ryder) casual is key, even though she’s the first girlfriend he’s had that he kind of wants to keep around for a very long while. When Aubrey tells him that she’s been offered a job on the other side of the country, she tells him that she’ll stay if he makes some kind of commitment, any kind of commitment. Seeing his carefree lifestyle slipping out of his grip, Dave tells her to take the job. Aubrey, disappointed and dejected, accepts the job offer and leaves Dave with only a goodbye and her hope that the next woman in his life can be enough to make him grow up. It doesn’t take long for him to realize his mistake. Aubrey was that woman. A crazy kind of feeling he’s never really felt before creeps up on him and he goes after her. It turns out that blowing all your money on a convertible makes it difficult to pay for a plane ticket, go figure. Armed with a small bag of clothes and essentials and a company gas card, Dave sets out to drive across the country to win Aubrey back. On the road, he runs into an old college buddy, Wade (Morrison), who used to be the wildest guy in their fraternity. Dave had always thought Wade would be a bachelor to his deathbed, but when they catch up he finds Wade has settled down with a wife and two kids. The wildest thing Wade does on his weekends is have a beer at his weekly BBQ for his friends around his neighborhood. Near the end of the journey, Dave picks up a hitchhiker, a young woman named Celia (Matthews). After a few miles of talking, Dave learns that Celia was forced to grow up long before her time. His experiences on his trip assure him when he arrives at Aubrey’s door that he has made the right choice this time. Now the only question is, with Aubrey take him back?
